I'm really trying to get into some hobbies that don't require my computer since unfortunately... almost every part of my life is done through a screen and I think it is rotting my brain to never do anything tangible.

(My main hobbies, which are also maybe too fandom-oriented tbh, are writing which necessitates typing, digital art, fanvid editing, giffing, and doing other things that require technology like graphic design or making fanmixes).

SO I'd love to hear what other people do!!

Ooooor if you've got any suggestions given the following (flexible and rambley) considerations, I would appreciate literally any ideas:
  • I can't easily do writing with pen and paper because of pain issues. This somewhat extends to drawing, but traditional painting has been a possible alternative idea because I can put less pressure on the brush, or maybe crochet or coloring books with markers could be nice? Still, would love to hear about activity books or things.
  • I can't be very noisy, meaning although I do have music hobbies I am limited within them since the ones I do have can be quite loud. I have a keyboard that I can play while wearing headphones and I do want to try mutes for stringed instruments, but anything quieter in this realm would be interesting to hear about.
  • I don't have much storage or desk space. This makes things like pottery, woodworking, puzzles, or certain exercise hobbies more difficult, but still maybe possible depending.
  • Hobbies cost money :( It's not the end of the world for me, but hobbies that require constant resupplies are something I try to avoid. For example, I don't mind buying more rosin for my violin bow because it lasts quite some time and is cheap... but having to keep buying paints sounds rough.
  • I have to be able to do them from home, but cannot alter my space very much. For example, I would love to get into boxing technique! But I can't drill into my walls for securing bags (and I do not have room for the floor ones) nor can I go to a gym.
Again, those are somewhat flexible since otherwise not much is left! :') But I figured they might spark some ideas if anyone reads them (like an instrument that's quieter, or exercise tools that are easy to store in narrow spaces, etc.)

Regardless of the above I still would love to hear other people's offline/off-tech hobbies out of curiosity, and I can probably adapt to certain things!
