Just sharing a couple neat things going on over on Sunset, which is home to femslash and femslash adjacent creations.

1. Prompt meme, which does end March 31st for prompting but there's still time to hop in and lots of prompts to claim.

2. Completely Arbitrary Sunset Exchange, the first exchange on the site! It's going to be the first exchange I've been able to do in about a year. Low minimums, lots of mediums allowed, and ofc lots of women. Nominations open April 6th.

Sunset is run by one of the most incredible people I know. Highly recommend checking it out - just private message me if you need an invite.

Things I made in 2025!

Thought doing a little round-up could be fun! This is not all-encompassing since I'm mainly just pulling what I posted on my AO3. I'm very scattered and WIP-centric so quite a bit stays on Tumblr or in messages to friends. I keep AO3 for things I finish up to my own standards, but I typically don't have the time to actually reach those standards... Maybe a 2026 goal will be to let myself be more lenient in that respect.

Anyway, listing and compiling things here still feels like a good way for me to feel accomplished. The fact I did anything at all is actually kind of a miracle considering the big gap between 2022 and 2025 on my account and creatively. Thank you Wellbutrin.

Little Update

Hi! I finished the fall semester out so I've had a bit more time to catch up on some TV, especialyyyy since I have been quite sick so I can't really do much else.

I also have been making more tweaks to my website - I changed the url name, redid the whole design, and made a shrine page for Brigid O'Reilly from Cloak & Dagger that I'm very proud of so far.

Cloak & Dagger

Hellooo I took advantage of being sick and watched the entirety of Cloak & Dagger (2018). I really loved it--two sides of the same coin kinda duo who know each other better than anyone else! I also am now very obsessed with Brigid and her Mayhem doppelganger. Really hoping I have some time to write some fics or make some vids for them once things calm down for me. I feel a little weird about the pacing and narrative structure in season 2 in a way that would necessitate a rewatch to properly word out, but it was still super enjoyable and pretty unique with how it handled quite a bit and it deserved a season 3.

Has anyone else ever watched it or read any of the comics? I'd be curious to know your thoughts or if anyone has other superhero media to recommend!! I'm thinking of getting into Black Lightning since I loved Christine Adams in Terra Nova. I still need to get back into quite a bit of X-Men media as well.

Other shows I'm watching rn when time allows me: Cleopatra 2525, Charmed (sorta rewatch), Grey's Anatomy (rewatch), Yellowjackets (rewatch), and I need to get the strength to finish Wheel of Time ;-;

I started watching it for background stimulation but I actually really like it so far! So now I need to actually make time for it, lol. This keeps happening with many shows I thought would be quick easy watches, oops.

This feels very catnippy to me as someone who goes feral for cancelled low-budget sci-fi shows from a couple decades ago, AND IT HAS SO MANY GIRLS! Many of whom are from the ~Aus/Aotearoa 90s Speculative Fiction Cinematic Universe~ given all the overlap between it and Xena in particular with cast and crew. That's Amarice! And Cyan! And... other Cleopatra!

I can tell it's going to be something I latch onto and get a lot of fic ideas for, but have to proceed knowing there's not really a fandom anymore. I've been kinda spoiled hanging out in more active, modern fandoms lately! I've forgotten my lonely yet fulfilling roots of getting half a pity kudo from a friend and nothing else jalksdkjdf.

Anywayyyy, anyone else ever watch it? I'd love to hear about people's fave characters/ships/fansites/similar recs/etc if so!

Some Upcoming Exchanges (Cartoons, Drabbles, and In-Universe Documents!)

A couple exchanges I'm excited for.

Saturday Morning Exchange- Animated media focus. Nominations close on April 18th at 1pm Eastern, I think. Cartoons are a bit less popular in exchanges, so I'm really excited for this one because of how important a few are to me! And the minimum is only 500 words which feels very manageable.

Seasons of Drabbles - Drabble exchange! Nominations are open and will continue throughout signups, which I think end on the 28th. I've been missing... I think it was called Multifandom Drabble? For a while, so it's always nice to see alternatives pop up. Drabble word count limits are always soooooo good for challenging my creativity. I may not sign up for this round because the narrow timeline during a very busy few weeks, even though drabbles are such a low commitment, but we'll see. I still hope to keep an eye on things.

Diegetic Exchange - Focused on in-universe RPF, social media, fanfiction, and other in-universe documents. Nominations close on the 26th and the minimum is only 500 words. I LOVED a similar exchange a while back, Unconventional Fanworks, so I'm really stoked for this. I have a few fandoms that work particularly well due to the characters being public figures, like in Hacks and Yellowjackets, it would be so fun to see stuff for.

Early Bird Gets the Word - Exchange for small and inactive fandoms. Noms open in a few days and close on the 30th. Another I'm not sure I can join because the deadline but I imagine there'll be quite a few PHs or treat opportunities, so I'll have to nominate some things just in case.

Honorary Mention - FemGiftboxes still has some participants who need gifts! Gifting closes on the 29th. Check out the spreadsheet here.

I'd love to hear what events other people are excited for in the comments! Especially if you're aware of any exchanges on the horizon that allow fanvids or fanart. I really love having multiple mediums to fall back on or potentially receive.

I wanted to talk about a couple fun things going on:

Space Swap
Space-themed media exchange! Signups close early on the 16th, I believe.

I managed to sign up this year and I'm really looking forward to it. I did it once a few years back and really loved all the media it exposed me to. (I am currently watching a film from the tagset to give me something else to possibly offer or request, haha.)

Festivids!!

Festivids reveals happened recently and I got SO many amazing gifts!! It also gave me an opportunity to actually finish a fanvid for the first time in ages and the whole experience made me get reflective about my experiences with vidding communities and my vidding history, etc. Sooooo first I'm gonna rec some vids and then at the bottom ramble for a million words or so.

I wrote a little thing for 1000xRESIST. It feels a lot lower-pressure posting here than on AO3, lol, which I think helped me get something together even though I have been struggling with writing so much lately. Even just trying helped me realize how many other aspects of the game I need to think harder on because of how many walls I kept hitting before settling on the below Fixer/Watcher thing.

(Edit: I did end up making some adjustments and posting on AO3. I don't love it because I don't feel like I'll ever have a good grasp on this game, but I'm glad I managed to get something made for once!)

Snowflake Challenge #1

Man I have a lot to catch up with on here, oops. I've had a very rocky month. Still, I really want to try the Snowflake Challenge this year (AND actually stick with it) so here we are!

Challenge #1: Update your fandom information.

This account is fairly new, so nothing is really out of date! I just added a profile tag for a video game I've been obsessed with lately, 1000xresist.
And I added a permissions statement to my AO3. I would love to see other peoples' permission statements, too! It's hard to know what to put in it sometimes. I feel like I am particularly picky with mine because at the end of the day I would probably be thrilled with anything someone would make based on my works, but better safe than sorry maybe.

Looking forward to the next one. :)

How dare they drop both of these on one of the busiest days I've had lately! I have a couple of thoughts on the trailers, but... for the most part they're incoherent lesbian ones, especially for WoT.

(As usual I had trouble with video embeds eating the text between them, lol, so sorry if anyone saw this before I gave up and just used links. If anyone knows why that happens with seemingly fine HTML I evidently need some tips.)
